Newcomers
Welcome the stranger as if he or she were Christ—this is the rule of hospitality according to St. Benedict. Here at St Timothy’s we welcome all who come seeking a place to pray, serve, find help, or simply rest. Our ushers and greeters make sure all who visit are warmly greeted, shown to any facility needed, and invited to stay for coffee and conversation. We encourage visitors to sign our guestbook and receive more information about our programs.
Caregivers
Caregivers serve for one month at a time to call the sick and homebound to offer prayer and assistance. There is a team of people available to help arrange meals and transportation if needed. If you would like to join this wonderful ministry of care, there is always room, and training is offered as needed. Ginny Worcester is the facilitator of the Caregivers Ministry. Marge Harper is our get-well and prayerful note writer. She contacts the office to see who is sick. If you are interested please contact Ginny or the office, 255-2740
Hospitality
After church service members take turns offering coffee, or iced tea in the summer, and light refreshment. This tradition allows parishioners an opportunity to make new friends, renew former acquaintances, and enjoy a few moments of fellowship with our community. It is a time of relaxation and informal conversation. We hope that you will join with us. We generally include you on the rotation unless you choose not to be included.
Special Events
We have a wonderful tradition at St. Timothy’s of celebrating together on special occasions. We have pancake suppers, Twelfth Night parties, and suppers for sic, among other parish events.
If you have a gift and enjoy hospitality or entertaining, give Joan Robbins a call and join the fun.
